Ever heard of Josie from Josie on the Go? If you haven’t, you’ve been living under a rock. How dare you.

But that no longer matters, because I’m enlightening you in the fact that she is now Josie from Starlight and Sunshine, a beautiful new blog of hers that is releasing TODAY. Because she’s such a great and patient friend, she willingly endured me pestering her like only I can do for an interview about it because I HAD A LOT OF QUESTIONS.

And I know you do too. So without further ado, let’s kick off the Starlight and Sunshine launch celebration like only an interview can!

What are you excited about most for Starlight and Sunshine?

Josie: I get to speak again! Well, not literally. But blogging just kinda makes you feel like you have a voice; like you have something to say.

What inspired S&S?

Josie: The idea came around May or June, as a way to get serious about blogging. So far, it’s worked – I’m putting a lot of work into it and I’m super happy with how it’s coming!

Do you have any goals for S&S?

Josie: My main goals right now is to learn as much as I can about blogging, and to produce quality content.

Do you have any ideas for what you’ll post about?

Josie: I’ve got some ideas written in my notebook (which I won’t share quite yet), but I’m thinking I’ll mainly post about my relationship with God, writing, music, and general lifestyle things.

(Madi Commentary: Darn it. That means I’ve gotta do some more stalking and find out all your secret notebook plans.)

Will you be continuing those awesome writing prompts of yours? Not to put you on the spot, but, well, I’m putting you on the spot.

Josie: I actually haven’t thought about that yet. Maybe I will! Actually, that gives me some ideas for having fun with them. ?

How often do you think you’ll post?

Josie: Twice a week, for the most part.

(Madi Commentary: GASP. THAT’S BEATING ME.)

What’s your favorite part about blogging?

Josie: Like I said above, feeling like I have a voice in the world. It’s pretty epic.

Will you be sharing any of your awesome writing on S&S? Not to put you on the spot, but… yeah, putting you on the spot.

Josie: Not again! Perhaps. Poetry, short stories, and maybe novel snippets from time to time.

What blogs inspire you?

Josie: Can I cheat and say all blogs and go into a thoughtful paragraph about how we all inspire each other? Okay, fine: Helping Writers Become Authors, A Farm Girl’s Life, Golden Feathers, Silver Clouds, Clara and Co, Doodle-y (and A Barefoot Gal), Let’s Be Lost, and Madi Grace (a blog I’m sure none of you have ever heard of, especially if you’re reading this post).

(Madi Commentary: Ooh, Madi Grace. What’s that? Certainly never heard it before. Sounds like the best blog on planet earth, though. I wonder what amazing person runs it.)

When do you typically get the most excited about posting?

Josie: When I have something really fun planned. At least, fun for me – which typically tends to be when I post about writing. Not sure why.

Do you have a follower count goal for the end of the year?

Josie: I haven’t thought about it too much, since I can’t really predict it, but maybe fifty to start? Who knows? Not me.

(Madi Commentary: As long as you don’t beat mine, then we’re good.)

What do you love most about your theme?

Josie: PRETTY GOLD GLITTER. Seriously, I’m having too much fun with the swirly fonts and glitter and gold and did I mention glitter?

Any upcoming ideas or posts you can give us hints for?

Josie: Time organization and outlining is all I’ll say.

(Madi Commentary: ? Commencing stalk tactics. Or, wait, an evil smiley because I have hints. >:))

What do you hope to accomplish most with Starlight and Sunshine?

Josie: To get a good interaction with the online community and make friends, cheesy as it sounds. In all honesty, blogging would get pretty boring if all we did was like each other’s posts and kept on with our lives.

Do I get my free virtual chocolate now? This better be a yes.

Josie: No, that only comes in the email. However, I am willing to trade Halloween candy.

(Madi Commentary: ? What if I ate it all already? ?)

I feel epic already! Mostly because it’s five AM and I just woke up to get this post out before 7 and I feel cool. Another part of it is I have an all-night prayer meeting tonight and I got 3.3h of sleep the last night and I feel double-cool. And a smidgen of it is allowing Josie to run her mouth on my blog because I’m such a nice, humble person.
