Bottom Line: You Don’t Know the Impact

Today I’m guest-posting over at Emmie’s ministry blog Standing Firm in My Faith. Here’s a little excerpt; to read the rest, head on over to the post!

One of the most discouraging things to a minister (someone who shares the Gospel whether young or old) is not seeing their impact they’re trying to make.

“Is what I’m doing important? Does it really matter? Is it really helping anybody?”

The short answer? Y-E-S!

The long answer? Yes, and you shouldn’t be discouraged if you’re not seeing the impact. Let’s dive in a little deeper and find out why.

SO YOU MIGHT NOT BE SEEING THE RESULTS YOU WANT.

That’s our first problem. We pour our heart and soul into doing something to reach others and bring God glory but… the impact doesn’t look to be as big as we expected it to be.

We don’t have as many followers as we know we should have on our Christian blogs.

We haven’t seen as many people give their hearts to Jesus as we set our goals for.

People just don’t seem to get it.

So does that mean we aren’t making an impact at all?

DON’T LOOK AT THE OUTWARD RESULTS.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.
(2 Corinthians 5:7)

I loved this post! I have experienced that lately, only I have been given the blessing of someone I touched telling me about it! It gives the greatest feeling of joy to realize that God has blessed something you did, and it made an impact! And I know that even if my friend hadn’t told me how I had touched her, that wouldn’t make her any less grateful!

Sooooo true! Can’t wait to read the full post. There are so many people reading and watching from a distance. They may never follow, like, share, or subscribe but they’re still being impacted so it’s important to keep going whether there are 3, or 3,000.
