I hope you’re enjoying Mondays with Madi! I’m really, really excited for this fourth way to kick the devil’s butt in your everyday life.

Because man, this one is AWESOME. ?

4. Lead the Way

The devil wants us to “follow the leader”, fit in, and give in to peer pressure. The last thing in the world the devil wants for you is to follow the plan and calling of God on your life. The devil wants you to follow what everyone else is doing and live a life far from the incredible purpose God has for you.

Well, I’ve got news for you, dummy defeated devil. We don’t serve a God of fitting in and doing what the world is doing. We are a devil butt-kicking generation. We’re going to lead the way and follow God’s INCREDIBLE plan and call on our lives. We’re living for Jesus… there’s a BIG difference between the way we do things and the way the world does things because we represent the King of kings. ? You think we care what the world says? Puh-lease.

Colossians 3:23 “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”

As Christians and ambassadors of the kingdom of Heaven (2 Corinthians 5:20), we represent the King of kings. Whatever we do needs to be done with excellence and diligence — regardless of our age (Jeremiah 1:7).

In the words of Jonathan Shuttlesworth,

“The MOST. The BIGGEST. The BEST. There is a clear line of distinction between the way we do things and the way the world does things.”

One of my favorite cool Christian songs is The Paradigm by Capital Kings. My favorite lyrics are…

“We are the generation, we’ve got a reputation, it’s time to lead the way. We are the motivation, just got to activate them, there is no time to wait.”

When the world sees that we carry something different than the unsatisfactory “same-old, same-old” that everyone else is doing, they will want that. We weren’t born to follow trends, we were born to set them. (1 Corinthians 11:1) So what if no one else is honoring God? You be the one to honor God. You be the first to step out and take a stand. God sees that and will honor you, because when you honor God, He turns around and does the same. 1 Samuel 2:30 states, “I will honor those who honor Me.”

God sees that and will honor you, because when you honor God, He turns around and does the same.

(Actually, as I type this post, I’m listening to Next Level by Family Force 5… and Next Level is the name of the elite ministry training group I graduated from! Very fitting. ;D)

What we stand for will stand for us.

Talk to me! What are you standing for? How are you leading the way?

Great post, Madi! This is so true — we need to step up to the plate and help lead, rather than blindly following the ways of men.

This was wonderful, Maddi! It was great! I stand for pro-life, pro-homeschool, pro-Biblical marriage, and so much more! It’s so important to not give in the the world, and to stand for what is right!! I try to lead the way in my life for the Lord, and I’m trying to do that for Jesus in my new magazine! Did you get my email about that? 🙂

Thank you for the inspiration Maddi! I know as a kind of shy person that following the crowd is so easy. I get scared to stand out sometimes (though apparently I stand out anyway). My friends always call me mom because I encourage them in their faith so I think that is a way I’m standing strong in my faith.

Aw, thank you for commenting, Rebekah! And don’t worry — sometimes I can be shy, too. 😛 But that’s so amazing! 😀

As a natural introvert, this is one of the things I have a hard time with. So thank you; I’m loving this series!

Let not your faith be shattered
    When failure comes your way,
For faith in God that you possess
    Will bring a brighter day.

Let not your soul be troubled
    And cast aside each fear,
For God will give you inner strength
And fill your heart with cheer.

    Let nothing e’er deter you
In goals you seek to gain,
With faith in God to lead you on
    Each one you can attain.

Happy Poem In Your Pocket Day, Madi! <3

Don’t worry — if we let Him, God empowers us with boldness despite any introvertiness! ? I have to remind myself that all the time. 😉 Aw, thank you! I’m so glad!

Ahh, that poem is awesome! Although I’m quiet late, Happy Poem In Your Pocket Day to you, too!

      Hey, I wanna write a poem now…

      Roses are red
      The grass is green
If there was ever a terrible poet
      It was definitely me! ?

      • Rebcake April 29, 2017 at 11:11 am - Reply

Ahh, yes, thanks for the reminder!

??? Madi you are seriously going to make me die of laughter…

        Roses are red,
        Violets are blue.
        I HAVE WRITER’S BLOCK
        (And so do you??) -_-

          Tehehe. ?

          Violets are blue
          Roses are red
I have so much writer’s block
I might as well be dead
          *dies*
          *gets up and bows*

          Juuuuust kidding. ?
